Rose Circle Training for Women

Supporting communities and professionals to work in circle and create
opportunities for young people and adults to work together in new ways.

You are warmly invited to a weekend training led by Leslie Lanes, founder of The Rose Circle (www.therosecircle.org) a mentor training organization based in Oregon, USA that works in schools and communities highlighting healthy community expression through authentic engagement between the generations.

The Rose Circle’s vision: Together, adults and youth create community of
mutual support, respect, and understanding
.

The Rose Circle’s mission: To support and empower youth through mentoring.

The weekend’s training with Leslie will use The Rose Circle’s model of working with adults and young people, through practical and experiential circle work and meeting the needs of our different situations and the young people within our communities. The training will provide opportunities for us to explore our own relationship to our teenage experience in a held environment and to learn new ways of being in relationship to ourselves and with our young people. Whether you work with children and young people or you have young people as family/friends, this training aims to support you in your authenticity as an adult and to establish and develop more relaxed and deeper relationships with the young people in your life.

“The fabric of a culture tends to unravel in two places at once, where its young people are rejected and its old people are forgotten.”
Michael Meade

A resource pack is offered as part of the training (at no extra cost) for you to take away with you. This will enable you to put these learnings into practice whether in one to one work or with small groups. The aim is to seed this work in ways that will suit the environment that you are in, i.e. through work (schools, colleges, teaching, social work, therapists, health professionals etc) or in community settings and in the home/family. The emphasis is on community repair and cross generational repair through empowering and honouring processes.

The training will be held on: March 9th, 10th, 11th weekend
